President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution, approving the State Program for the Comprehensive Development of Biotechnology in Turkmenistan for 2024–2028 and the Action Plan for its implementation, TDH reports.
The document instructs the Academy of Sciences, relevant ministries and departments to ensure the implementation of the specified State Program.
The resolution was signed “in order to enhance the role of science in the context of reforming sectors of the national economy, including accelerating the development of innovative technologies for the production of environmentally friendly energy-saving goods, oriented towards import substitution and export, based on biology and biotechnology, as well as scientific substantiation of the formation of a powerful bio-industry in the country with using biotechnology."
