On the hospitable Turkmen soil, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnihanov, who arrived to participate in the celebrations on the occasion of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse, writes TDH.
Rustam Minnihanov conveyed congratulations from Russian President Vladimir Putin to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, noting the traditionally friendly relations between the countries, based on the cultural and spiritual community of peoples, as well as the principles of mutually beneficial partnership.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized the importance of the visit as an indicator of friendship and common spiritual values of the Turkmen and Tatar peoples.
“It is noteworthy that the meeting is taking place in such a festive atmosphere, and it is especially pleasant that on such a day you share our joy and take part in the ceremonial events dedicated to the Turkmen horse,” said the head of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.
During a walk through the picturesque corners of the mountainous area, the interlocutors discussed the further deepening of Turkmen-Tatarstan relations, based on centuries-old historical ties, similarities in culture, language, traditions and customs.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov confirmed Turkmenistan’s desire to increase multifaceted cooperation with brotherly Tatarstan within the framework of a strategic partnership with Russia.
At the end of the meeting, on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, an official reception was organized in honor of the head of the Republic of Tatarstan at the Gala cultural and entertainment center, located in a beautiful corner of Kopetdag.
