1. The International Investment Forum to attract investment in the energy sector of Turkmenistan, which started in Paris, is intended to expand opportunities for attracting foreign direct investment in all segments of the industry. Ashyrguly Begliyev, Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on oil and gas issues, stated this while speaking at the event.

2. In Ashgabat, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of Great Britain David Cameron. The parties noted that the UK is one of Turkmenistan’s key partners in the European region. Relations between the countries are progressively developing on the basis of mutual understanding, friendship and mutual respect.

National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Executive Director of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy Michael Harms. The parties discussed prospects for further strengthening the Turkmen-German partnership. During the meeting, Harms conveyed greetings and best wishes from German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The head of the highest body of people's power of Turkmenistan, in turn, emphasized the fruitfulness of cooperation between the two countries in almost all areas.

4. The XIV meeting of the International Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding Association was held in the city of Arkadag on the eve of the widely celebrated National Turkmen Horse Day. The forum was held in a hybrid format with the participation of foreign members of the association.

5. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree conferring honorary titles on four distinguished horse breeders of the country for great achievements and conscientious work in the development of the horse breeding industry.

6. Turkmenistan is introducing new mandatory norms and rules for the construction of individual cottage-type residential buildings. The corresponding order was issued by the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan and published on the legal information portal of the Ministry of Justice. The document establishes a set of regulatory safety requirements for the design and construction of cottages, regardless of the materials used. The document applies to 1-3-story buildings, including reconstruction with replacement of walls.

7. Scientists from the University of Surrey in the UK have developed a unique technique that allows them to “look” inside cancer cells. The essence of the method is to extract individual cancer cells using microscopic tubes and subsequent analysis of their lipid composition.
