On April 22, at the UNESCO headquarters in the capital of France, the grand opening of the exhibition “Magtymguly Fragi and the cultural heritage of Turkmenistan” was held, organized by the Permanent Representation of Turkmenistan to UNESCO together with the Embassy of Turkmenistan in France and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan. At the same time, a scientific conference was held dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Turkmen-French archaeological expedition.
A striking addition to the busy program of the day was the exclusive display of the original collection of national Turkmen costumes, writes TDH.
It is worth noting that the works of talented Turkmen designers have repeatedly received the highest praise from authoritative world fashion experts, including recognized French couturiers.
Amazing outfits, skillfully made from high-quality fabrics - noble silk, airy chiffon, luxurious velvet, flowing satin and exquisite taffeta, hand-embroidered with national ornaments and complemented with silver jewelry, aroused the sincere admiration of numerous guests of the event.
As part of this creative event, a tasting of exquisite Turkmen national dishes was also organized, which allowed participants and guests to experience the intricacies of the culinary art of Turkmenistan. As is known, a distinctive feature of Turkmen cuisine is the extraordinary satiety and nutritional value of dishes with the relative simplicity of their preparation, while they are often original and significantly different from the dishes of neighboring peoples.
