1. National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the city of Arkadag, where he got acquainted with the activities of the International Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding Association and preparations for the upcoming National Turkmen Horse Holiday. At the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev, Chairman Halk Maslahaty monitored the progress of preparations for the holiday, which will be held for the first time on the basis of this educational institution. The rector of the academy reported on the work to train students in national seismic methods and apply them in practice. During the trip, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov examined the newborn foal and gave him the name Shahyr in connection with the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the great poet Magtymguly Fragi, and also instructed to resolve the issue of housing for the teachers of the academy.

2. Today, the 38th meeting of the Conference of heads and responsible representatives of railway transport enterprises of the member states of the Organisation for Co-cooperation between Railways begins in Ashgabat. On this occasion, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the participants with a welcoming address, which, in particular, stated that Turkmenistan takes an active position in the development of transport and transit corridors, including in matters of cooperation at the sites of the UN and other major international organizations.

3. The next round of annual political consultations between Turkmenistan and the United States was held in Ashgabat. The delegation of Turkmenistan at the negotiations was headed by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, and the US delegation was led by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs John Pommersheim. The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Turkmen-American relations, and also exchanged views on current international issues, including regional and global security.

4. In Russia, from April 1, the rules for passing driving exams are changing. As noted in the government decree, the replacement of foreign rights will become more stringent, the list of required documents will expand, and after three unsuccessful attempts, it will be possible to retake the exam no earlier than six months later. Those wishing to replace a foreign license with a Russian one will have to pass the theory if they plan to drive motorcycles, cars, mopeds, scooters and light ATVs. Truck and bus drivers will be required to pass theoretical and practical exams.

5. 23 years old diver-instructor Victor Salmon saved the shark from the fate of becoming someone's dinner. Having long dreamed of seeing a shark during a dive, Victor decided to act. He went to a restaurant that served shark dishes and purchased a live shark for the small sum of 20 USD. Instead of letting it become someone's food, Victor immediately took the animal to the sea and released it into the open waters of the Gulf of Thailand, giving the shark a chance at a new life.

6. Hockey matches of the international tournament, starting today in Ashgabat, will be broadcast live on Türkmenistan sport and Ýaşlyk TV channels. Let us remind that club teams from Bahrain, Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Oman, Russia, Turkmenistan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan will take part in the tournament. The Winter Sports Complex, where all matches will be held, has created the necessary conditions for athletes and everyone who will be involved in these competitions, as well as for guests and fans.

7. The opening of the spring racing season was held at the equestrian complex of Mary velayat of Turkmenistan. More than 100 Ahal-Teke horses aged 3 years and older, representing all regions of the country, took part in the races. There were nine races in total. The opening program included a festive concert with performances by famous dance and folklore groups, bakhshi and pop artists, as well as demonstration performances by athletes and exhibitions of decorative and applied arts. At the finals of the competition, the winners of nine races were awarded prizes.
