1. The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received regular congratulations on the occasion of the holy holiday of Oraza bayram. In particular, on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, the head of state was congratulated by Ilham Aliyev, warm wishes were addressed by the President of the UAE Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and many others.
3. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Law “On the ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on international road transport”. The purpose of the document is to streamline road passenger and freight transportation between countries on mutually beneficial terms, as well as transit transportation within their borders.
4. The popular duet from Uzbekistan “Farhod and Shirin” presented to the public a new song based on the poem by the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi Habar ber - şeýledir. Magtymguly’s poems are very popular among the peoples of Central Asia, including Uzbekistan. Previously, the duo “Farhod and Shirin” performed with great success in Turkmenistan - at the closing of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, as part of the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan and other events.
5. 11th grade student of the Joint Turkmen-Russian secondary school named after A.S. Pushkin Anna Orlova became the only schoolgirl from the CIS countries to qualify for the final full-time stage of the all-Russian project “Parliamentary Model of MGIMO”. This year the event was attended by about 1500 people from different cities of Russia and foreign countries. Project participants worked for four days in 13 specialized committees on current socio-economic, political and legal issues. Their activities were supervised by experts from among the teaching staff of MGIMO, as well as public and government figures.
6. National Day of Turkmenistan at EXPO 2025 in Osaka is scheduled for April 14, 2025, namely the day after the opening of the World Expo. The schedule of national days to be held by the participating countries of EXPO 2025 was recently announced by the Japan Exhibition Association. This large-scale exhibition will run for six months. Within its framework, 101 national days of various countries will be held.

7. The mayor of Vadso, located above the Arctic Circle, asked the European Commission to approve a time zone with a 26-hour day for her region. The initiative aims to strengthen local identity, increase family time and attract new residents. In the letter to the EC, the region asks to instruct the Norwegian authorities to introduce a 26-hour day instead of a 24-hour day.
8. Already in April of this year, the Deep South supercomputer, developed by the Australian International Center for Neuromorphic Systems, will be launched. This computer, more than 2000 times larger than the human brain, is capable of performing 228 trillion operations per second. Unlike traditional electronic systems, it imitates not only the functioning of the brain, but also the entire human body. This permits it to integrate data storage and processing, achieving incredible efficiency.

9. On April 9 and 10, the first matches of the 1/4 finals of the UEFA Champions League were held. The players of the Spanish “Barcelona” beat the French “Paris Saint-Germain” with a score of 3:2. The Spanish “Atletico” beat the German “Borussia” Dortmund at home with a score of 2:1. A day earlier, English “Manchester City” and Spanish “Real Madrid” tied with a score of 3:3, while London's “Arsenal” and “Bayern” Munich finished the match with a score of 2:2. The return matches of the 1/4 finals of the Champions League will be held on April 16 and 17.
10. World Athletics will become the first federation to pay prize money for victories at the Olympic Games. Athletes who win gold in 2024 in Paris will receive 50 000 USD. At the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, prize money will be paid to all winners. World Athletics chief executive Sebastian Coe said the decision underlines the organization's commitment to empowering athletes and recognizes their important role in the success of the Olympics.
