The third stage of the prestigious coaching course of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is taking place in Ashgabat under the program for obtaining a PRO license - the highest coaching category in Asian football, reports the FFT press service.
During the current stage, the focus is on theoretical and practical training. The theory takes place in the conference room of the “Yyldyz” hotel, and practical exercises take place on the training field of the “Ashgabat” multifunctional stadium. The fifth and sixth modules of the course will last until April 6.
The first four modules of the coaching course were successfully completed in 2023. The current stage is being held under the guidance of a famous Moldovan specialist, UEFA instructor Ghenadie Scurtul. His assistant is FIFA technical expert, AFC instructor, Turkmen football specialist Rovshan Meredov.
The educational process combines theoretical lectures and practical exercises on the field. The course is attended by 15 coaches representing teams from the Major League and the national team of Turkmenistan.
The full AFC PRO category coaching license course started on November 21, 2023 and will last until July 31, 2024. It will be held in four stages, consisting of 8 modules.
Candidates who successfully pass all exams will receive prestigious PRO licenses under the AFC coaching course program, opening the way to work at the highest level.
