The Turkmen State Publishing Service has published a new book by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov Änew – müňýyllyklardan gözbaş alýan medeniýet (“Anau – culture from the depths of millennia”) in three languages - Turkmen, Russian and English. The publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” writes about this.
The work covers significant events and historical eras of Ancient Anau. Separate chapters of the publication are devoted to archaeological finds and unique architectural monuments that have survived to this day.
The publication of the book became possible thanks to information from historical sources collected by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. It is also replete with data obtained as a result of expeditions of prominent archaeologists Raphael Pampelli, Vadim Masson, Victor Sarianidi and others.
Each chapter of the book contributes to the overall structure of the narrative, creating a holistic picture of the historical past of the Turkmen people, its national and cultural values and the work to protect, preserve and popularize the rich cultural heritage and spiritual traditions.
The publication of the book in the year of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi became a symbolic gift for Turkmen citizens and foreign guests taking part in events in Turkmenistan on the occasion of the proclamation of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024. Guests will also be able to get acquainted with the heritage of the Ancient civilization of Anau as part of a rich cultural program.
