In Shanghai's Yangpu district, ultra-high-speed mobile Internet of a new standard has been introduced, capable of reaching speeds of up to 10 Gbit/sec. This was made possible thanks to 50G-PON technology and F5G-A service, providing instant connection to cloud services and access to extensive content. This was reported by gazeta.ru with reference to ITHome.
Using this internet, you can download a two-hour 8K movie (90GB) in just 72 seconds, which is 10 times faster than a standard gigabit connection (12 minutes).
The initiative is part of the 15-Minute City Circle concept, which aims to ensure that all key services and amenities are within walking distance for residents.
The developers of the project were China Telecom and the Yangpu district administration.
