Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev sent a message to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in which he expressed deep gratitude for the hospitality and sincere attention shown to the participating delegations of the 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTG), held March 11–12, 2024 in Ashgabat, as well as for the high level of its organization.
“The event itself was the first meeting of the Council of Elders held in an UTC observer state, which once again demonstrated the will and determination of Turkmenistan to contribute to the efforts of the UTC to bring the fraternal Turkic states closer together through decisive initiatives,” the message said.
As reported by TDH, Kubanychbek Omuraliyev noted that the 15th meeting of the Council of Elders became a unique platform for constructive discussion between the respected elders of the UTC countries and led to the expression of valuable ideas and recommendations, which were reflected in the Communiqué adopted at the end of the Council of Elders.
“I would like to inform Your Excellency that, in accordance with our traditions, all ideas and recommendations of the elders will be submitted to the Council of Foreign Ministers and the Council of Heads of State of the UTC,” the Secretary General emphasized, confirming the strong will and determination for further cooperation with brotherly Turkmenistan.
