Short films made by creative film groups from Turkmenistan within the framework of the project “Film in 48 hours - 2024” will be presented for viewing. This was reported by the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
The “Film in 48 hours - 2024” competition, which is being held among enthusiastic filmmakers in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan for the 9th time, is very popular among young people trying their first steps in cinema.
This year, more than two hundred short films from Central Asian countries were nominated for the competition.
According to the terms of the competition, participants are introduced to the creative task 15 minutes before the start. It is a specific subject, place and phrase that needs to be included in the film. This time the task was based on: the phrase “We are here”, a character - a girl in blue, an object that must necessarily appear in the frame, a house.
Over the course of two shooting days, members of the creative teams had to develop a script, choose a location for filming, edit and process the footage, add audio, while observing all the technical parameters included in the rules of the competition.
14 film teams from Turkmenistan completed the task. Films with intriguing titles “Cradle of Hope”, “Durmuş öwrümi”, “Wagt”, “From the Life of a Veterinarian”, “Gift”, “Dream”, “Not Magic” and others will soon be presented for viewing, the source notes.
The list of finalists included in the TOP 48 of the competition will be announced before April 30.
