Turkmenistan is ready to supply energy resources to Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye

Turkmenistan has good opportunities to export natural gas and electricity to Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye. National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated this during the 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

According to the head of the Halk Maslahaty, Turkmenistan is ready to make cooperation within the framework of the OTS consistent and long-term, paying special attention to promising areas, including energy.

– Our country considers it necessary to create an effective, reliable, self-sufficient partnership model in the generally unstable conditions of global energy markets. This will meet the growing energy needs of our states.
Turkmenistan, which is one of the largest producers of energy resources, is ready to supply them to fraternal countries and increase supply volumes, noted the National Leader of the Turkmen people. Currently, our country exports electricity to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. In addition, there are plans to implement large projects with the participation of these states to send Turkmen natural gas to the east.
– We also have good opportunities to export Turkmen natural gas and electricity to Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye. We are ready to continue to provide assistance to fraternal countries in ensuring energy security”, - emphasized the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people also added that in the future it will be possible to create a permanently operating integrated energy transmission system. In this case, the Turkic states will be able to fully take advantage of the advantages of geographical proximity, resource potential and means of supply.

– Along with this, priority is given to the transport sector in the cooperation of our countries. In this regard, it is advisable to begin to formulate a unified transport strategy. Consolidation of efforts will make it possible to reach agreements with international partners and major investors in this area, said National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

It is worth noting that the 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Ashgabat under the chairmanship of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, member of the Council of Elders of the OTS Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

During the meeting, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the OTS Binali Yildirym, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev, member of the Council of Elders of the OTS from the Republic of Kazakhstan Ikram Adyrbekov, member of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States from the Kyrgyz Republic Metedkan Sherimkulov, member of the Council of Elders of the OTS made their initiatives and proposals from the Republic of Uzbekistan Sodikjon Turdiev, member of the Council of Elders representing Hungary, Attila Tilki.

After listening to the speeches, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that during the meeting, an exchange of views took place on improving the activities of the Council of Elders, increasing the efficiency of the Organization of Turkic States and intensifying cooperation between our fraternal countries. Many innovative views and concrete initiatives were voiced.

In particular, given the complex trends in the development of modern society, an important part of international interaction is the promotion of high morality, humanism, justice, decency and respect among the Turkic peoples, as well as the education of a worthy young generation.

-Today we have gathered here to discuss tasks that will permit the fraternal Turkic peoples to follow the path of prosperity and well-being, emphasized Chairman Halk Maslahaty, expressing firm confidence that the recommendations and relevant decisions adopted during the current meeting will certainly serve to further bring the Turkic peoples closer together and development of the development vector for OTS.

Following the meeting, a corresponding Communiqué was adopted.
