The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United States held a briefing in Washington on the results of an expanded meeting of the country's Cabinet of Ministers on the results of 2023 and the Presidium of the Halk Maslahaty, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
The event was attended by representatives of the Turkmen diaspora in the United States and students from Turkmenistan studying at American universities.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan M. Orazov spoke about the country’s most important priorities for 2024, which were outlined by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Particular attention was paid to the Program of Socio-Economic Development and Investment for 2024 and the work plan of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. The emphasis is on tasks to improve the standard of living of the population.
The diplomats informed about the initiatives and conditions created by the country's leadership for Turkmen youth, including for studying abroad.
The briefing participants expressed gratitude for the opportunities provided and their desire to contribute to the prosperity of the Motherland. The importance of celebrating the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly in Turkmenistan and abroad was also emphasized.
