The Turkmen Energy Investment Forum (TEIF 2024) will be held in Paris on April 24-25. This is a key event to attract foreign investment in the energy sector of Turkmenistan.
The organizers are the state concerns “Turkmengas” and “Turkmenneft” together with the companies “Turkmen Forum” and GaffneyCline. The venue will be the Hyatt Regency Etoile hotel in the center of the French capital.
TEIF 2024 will be held under the theme “Invest in reliable, sustainable and green energy”. Main topics for discussion:
- The role of Turkmenistan in the future of global energy
- New investment opportunities in the oil and gas industry
- Reducing greenhouse gas emissions and developing alternative energy
- Attracting investment in infrastructure projects
Representatives of leading international companies such as CNPC, BP, Exxon Mobil, Petronas, ADNOC, Mitro International, Buried Hill, NAPECO, Dragon Oil, ENI, “Lukoil” are invited to participate in the forum; international oil and gas organizations, such as the International Energy Agency (IEA), the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the Global Gas Center (GGC), the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), the Energy Charter Secretariat; numerous international organizations and financial institutions - the UN, OSCE, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and other organizations.
Turkmenistan has enormous potential in the energy sector, in particular, the world's largest onshore gas field – “Galkynysh”. Speaking at the COP28 climate summit in Dubai, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced Turkmenistan’s accession to the Global Methane Commitment.
