President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon instructed all officials of the country to master several foreign languages at a high level within a year. This was reported by “MIR 24” with reference to the press service of the President of the Republic.
The head of state emphasized that proficiency in the Tajik language at a high level is an important task for every civil servant, and knowledge of two more foreign languages at a similar level is a necessary condition for effective work.
“It was instructed to provide members of the judiciary and all civil servants with a period of one year for in-depth study of foreign languages; in case of failure to comply with these requirements, the necessary measures should be taken against them”, - the statement said.
