A meeting of the delegation of Turkmenistan led by the country’s Ambassador to the United States Mered Orazov with the leadership of the Turkmenistan-US Business Council took place in Washington, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

The parties discussed plans to diversify bilateral economic relations and organize a visit of a representative American business delegation to Turkmenistan this year.

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United States and the head of the Americas Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Ambassador Ch. Atayev, held negotiations with the executive director of the Business Council, Eric Stewart, and representatives of the largest American companies - John Deere, Case New Holland, Boeing, Exxon Mobil, General Electric, Climate Compass, Zeppelin, UGT Renewable, Caterpillar, Oxbow, Honeywell and Palo Alto Networks.

Investment, financial and banking, agricultural, oil and gas, transport, logistics and technological cooperation were discussed.

Eric Stewart noted that relations between the countries have reached a new level. Turkmenistan's accession to an international agreement to reduce methane emissions, in turn, caused a very positive response in the American business community.

The Turkmen side confirmed its interest in expanding economic partnership with American business. American companies positively assessed the regular dialogue and proposals for new areas of cooperation.
