The Bishkek meeting was the next step in coordinating the efforts of regional states and the international community to provide assistance to Afghanistan. A meeting is planned in the near future in Doha to discuss the prospects for the socio-economic development of this country.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Turkmen delegation also held separate meetings with the EU Special Representative for Central Asia Teri Hakala and the Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas Niklasson.
