During the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D. Gulmanova presented a report on the ongoing activities to legislatively support the tasks arising from the country’s socio-economic development programs, TDH reports.
As the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan reported, production and practical seminars were organized for students of the Academy of Civil Service under the President of Turkmenistan to improve their qualifications.
Information was also provided on the ongoing work to strengthen inter-parliamentary contacts and expand cooperation with international organizations and foreign parliamentary delegations.
In particular, negotiations took place with representatives of the National People's Congress on the exchange of legislative experience. A seminar was also held with the participation of experts from the GIZ program on the preparation of a new edition of the Civil Code of Turkmenistan. Deputies of the Mejlis took part in events of international organizations dedicated to issues of gender equality.
As the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized, active inter-parliamentary contacts contribute to the modernization of national legislation and strengthening the legal foundations for the country’s development.
