19 clinical laboratories at medical institutions in Mary velayat are equipped with modern equipment for conducting tests. Related equipment, reagents and consumables were also supplied. Laboratory specialists were trained in the use of new equipment.
Equipping laboratories and training staff were carried out as part of a project to improve the clinical and laboratory services of the national health care system, financed by the Government of Turkmenistan and implemented by UNDP.
Project activities will continue throughout Turkmenistan. Thus, similar events have already started in 27 clinical laboratories in Lebap velayat, where staff have begun training on the use of new equipment, reports the UNDP press service.
