Supplies of fresh tomatoes from Turkmenistan to the Moscow region continue to grow. Since the beginning of 2024, more than 2 thousand tons of these products have already been imported to the region, reports the publication “Big Asia” with reference to the Office of Rosselkhoznadzor for Moscow and the Moscow Region.
It is noted that phytosanitary control of 116 trucks with Turkmen tomatoes was carried out, according to the results of which experts confirmed that the products comply with all quarantine requirements.
At present time, Turkmenistan is one of the key suppliers of fresh tomatoes to Russia. Turkmen tomatoes are also exported to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan.
