The intensive expansion of the existing aircraft fleet in Turkmenistan is of a strategic nature and aims to achieve economic and transit interests.

As part of the National Program for the Development of Civil Aviation of Turkmenistan for 2012–2030, large-scale work is being carried out to further improve the material and technical base of civil aviation, construction and modernization of airports in the capital and velayats, engineering and technical facilities, and training of qualified specialists is being carried out.
In recent years, the flight and engineering personnel of Turkmen aviators have achieved a solid level of qualifications and skill in operating American equipment. Short-term courses and internships continue to be organized in the training of flight crews, flight attendants, transportation service workers, aviation security and other areas.
