The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan approved a bill to change the shape of the rays on the country's national flag. In accordance with the new law, the wavy beams located around the tunduk (top of the yurt) will be replaced with straight ones. RIA reported this with reference to the press service of the legislative assembly of the republic.
The initiators of the bill were Speaker of Parliament Nurlanbek Shakiyev and Deputy Ulan Primov. They explained that many people associate the wavy rays with sunflowers, which are not the country's main crop. At the same time, direct rays, according to deputies, are more similar to the rays of the sun.
