Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Hojamyrat Geldimyradov took part in a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS, which was held as part of the “Russia” exhibition at VDNKh in Moscow, reports the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Russia.
At the meeting, participants discussed current issues of cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. The Turkmen side emphasized interest in economic interaction with interstate associations in the Eurasian space.
Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a video greeting to the participants of the meeting, in which he emphasized that within the framework of the Russian Federation's chairmanship in the CIS, from January 1, 2024, it is planned to develop the practice of holding joint events in a variety of areas of art, education and science.
“We will encourage in every possible way the implementation of film and television projects, the organization of classical and popular music competitions. Russia has already put forward a number of relevant initiatives, including the creation of the Eurasian Academy of Film Arts, the establishment of the Eurasian Film Award and the revival of the international song festival “Intervision”, - the head of the Russian Federation said.
Following the meeting, a statement was adopted by the heads of government of the CIS member states on the prospects for cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
