Chairman of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova accepted credentials from the new Ambassador of the Republic of Zimbabwe to Turkmenistan Bright Kupemba, TDH reports.
“In order to further develop and strengthen friendly and mutually beneficial relations between our countries, I have appointed Mr. Bright Kupemba as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zimbabwe to Turkmenistan.
His high personal qualities and abilities make it possible to be confident that he will carry out the mission entrusted to him in such a way as to earn the trust and respect of Your Excellency.
In this regard, I ask you to receive him with favor and to have full confidence in everything that he will communicate on my behalf and on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Zimbabwe, especially when he conveys his best wishes for the well-being and prosperity of Your Excellency and the people of Turkmenistan.
Your Excellency, please accept my assurances of my highest regard for you,” reads the text of the credentials signed by the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.
On behalf of the head of Turkmenistan, the head of the national Parliament congratulated the plenipotentiary representative of a friendly country on his appointment to a responsible diplomatic post, wishing him success in fulfilling the important mission entrusted to him.
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, the diplomat conveyed cordial greetings from the top leadership of the Republic of Zimbabwe to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, addressing best wishes to all the Turkmen people.
During the conversation, the Ambassador was informed about the priority directions of the internal policy of Turkmenistan, which has a pronounced social orientation. Special emphasis was placed on a foreign policy based on the principles of positive neutrality, peacefulness and constructive cooperation with all states of the planet, including those located on the African continent.
Continuing the meeting, the subject of an interested exchange of views was the prospects and possibilities of bilateral cooperation. The Ambassador was also familiarized with the structure and activities of the Mejlis, its role in the legislative and legal support of the large-scale socio-economic transformations and democratic reforms being carried out in Turkmenistan. It was noted that the establishment of mutually beneficial contacts through the parliamentary line would serve to enrich the content of relations between the two friendly countries.
Stressing that it is a great honor for him to represent the Republic of Zimbabwe in neutral Turkmenistan, whose peace-loving policies and creative initiatives have gained widespread international recognition and support, the diplomat assured that for his part he will fully contribute to the further development of traditional interstate dialogue.
