A graduate student at the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Gadam Amanov, proposed an original technology for producing liquid paraffin from local hydrocarbon raw materials in order to replace the import of these products, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
Liquid paraffin is a petroleum product that is used in various fields, such as medicine, cosmetology, chemical industry, oil refining and agriculture.
During the research, the Turkmen scientist selected the optimal method for producing liquid paraffin using the zeolite adsorption method. 92,39% paraffin was obtained from samples of oil and gas condensate from national fields.
The development was successfully tested at the Garlyk potash plant. A certificate of the possibility of using the technology in industrial conditions was received.
The launch of the production of liquid paraffins will make it possible to provide them to various sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan, reduce imports and establish exports of this popular product.
