On December 1-2 of this year, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will make a two-day working trip to the UAE, during which he will take part in the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), TDH reports.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov reported on preparations for the planned visit during the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the World Climate Forum, the agenda of which will include issues of great importance for ensuring sustainable development on the planet and the future of all humanity. “Turkmenistan actually demonstrates a responsible and proactive position in solving current environmental problems, which is also evidenced by the upcoming participation of our country’s delegation in the COP28 Conference,” the source notes.
