In the United States, workers at a garbage dump found an accidentally discarded wedding ring. To do this, they had to dig through 20 tons of garbage, writes pravilamag.ru.
Waste sorting station director Dennis Senibaldi said he received a call from a city council member who put him in touch with a woman whose wedding ring ended up in a landfill.
The woman told Senibaldi that her husband accidentally threw out the trash bag containing the ring Wednesday morning. She also provided him with details of what was in the package and what car the man used to take it out.
Station workers reviewed surveillance footage to determine the approximate location of the trash bag containing the ring. They then began to search for him.
The search for the ring took about two hours. In the end, the ring was found and was returned to its owner.
This is the third time in two years that workers have had to search through the trash for wedding rings. The last time this happened was exactly a year ago.
