In the last month of autumn, the first snow fell in Turkmenistan. It covered the top of the Kopetdag Mountains, which stretch along the country's southwestern border.

Snow fell in the afternoon of November 22. The precipitation was not heavy, but sufficient to create a winter landscape against a blue sky.

It is noteworthy that on November 22, a period began in Turkmenistan, which is popularly called Garagyş. This means the coldest part of winter. It will last until December 7.

According to current weather forecasts, snow on the Kopetdag Mountains will last for several days, and gradual warming is expected in Ashgabat. On Saturday the air will warm up to +17 degrees, and on Sunday and Monday – up to +22 ... +24 degrees.
