Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the city of Arkadag. During the trip, the head of state got acquainted with projects for the construction of a complex of new buildings of the Turkmen Agricultural University and research institutes planned as part of the second phase of the city’s development, the Watan information program reported.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov heard a report from the Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the city of Arkadag, Derya Orazov, in which he reported on the developed projects and their locations. Among the presented projects is a master plan for the complex of buildings of the Turkmen Agricultural University and related research and production experimental sites, a complex of greenhouses, experimental fields and other structures, in particular, the Research Institute of Cotton Growing of the Ministry of Agriculture, which will be built in the Iolotan etrap of Mary velayat, research institutes of grain growing and agriculture in the city of Arkadag.
The head of state noted that the construction of research institutes, which are important in the comprehensive development of the agro-industrial complex, must be organized at a high level. The President of Turkmenistan gave a number of instructions to make adjustments to the presented projects, in particular, to harmonize them with the architectural ensemble of the city.
“In this regard, a responsible and comprehensive approach to the construction of educational institutions and institutes related to the agro-industrial complex is necessary. The location of new facilities should be studied on a scientific basis. At the same time, great importance should be attached to the improvement of the adjacent territories and compliance with environmental requirements,” noted Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
