The delegation of Turkmenistan, led by the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography Annasahet Kakayev, held an online meeting with representatives of Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting CJSC, reports the IIC.
On the Azerbaijani side, the negotiations were attended by Deputy General Director of the company Rafik Hashimov, specialist of the international department Aidan Tagiyeva, as well as representative of the international relations department Elnur Oruzov.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the issue of expanding cooperation in the field of media and information exchange. They emphasized the importance of close interaction and exchange of information.
The Turkmen side invited Azerbaijani journalists to take part in covering the World Kurash Championship, which will be held on November 23-28 in Ashgabat. The possibilities of live broadcasting of the competition on Azerbaijani television channels were also discussed.
In addition, both sides expressed interest in covering the International Theater Festival, which opened on November 14 in Ashgabat. The Turkmen side presented the work of the International Information Center under the State Committee for Television and Radio, which plays an important role in covering events in Turkmenistan.
Interest was also expressed in the joint production of films between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan. Common roots, language, culture and religion unite the peoples of the two countries, and the creation of films will contribute to greater mutual understanding, it was emphasized during the meeting.
In conclusion, the parties expressed their readiness to use their platforms to exchange information. Confidence was expressed that cooperation in the media sphere between the two countries will continue to develop and strengthen, contributing to the rapprochement of peoples and partnership.
