A joint Turkmen-Iranian tourism festival opened today in the exhibition hall of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan. Representatives of travel companies from two countries took part in the forum. Each travel company presented its stand and the services it provides.
Promoting the tourism potential of Turkmenistan and Iran is the main goal of the festival.
In the exhibition hall there was an exposition of decorative and applied arts, for which the Islamic Republic of Iran has been famous since ancient times.
Here you can see carpets and rugs, dishes inlaid with semi-precious stones, and backgammon made of ivory.
Iran is famous for its diverse natural landscapes, rich history and cultural traditions. Iran has 23 historical monuments included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, which is 2,1% of the total number of cultural heritage monuments in the world.
At the end of the opening ceremony of the festival, Iranian and Turkmen folk performers performed for the visitors. All guests were invited to taste the national cuisine of the two countries.
The exhibition of decorative and applied arts of Iran will be on view until November 2. Visitors will be able to familiarize themselves with tourist brochures and booklets and learn a lot about the tourism opportunities of Iran and Turkmenistan.
