The President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, inspected joint military exercises of the national army and other military formations, TDH reports.
Currently, the military personnel of Turkmenistan, following the basic principles of the Military Doctrine, which is exclusively defensive in nature and based on the neutral status of the country, ensure peace and security and the well-being of the Turkmen people.
As part of the implementation of fundamental reforms in this area, much attention is paid to strengthening the defense capability and power of the Armed Forces and updating their material and technical support. In addition, to increase the efficiency of military and law enforcement agencies and solve social problems, modern complexes for law enforcement agencies are being built, and the necessary conditions are being created for officers and soldiers to properly perform their military duty, for their recreation, and for playing various sports.
To improve the professional training of defenders of the Fatherland, comprehensive measures are being taken, which include improving skills in handling weapons and military equipment, as well as coordinating actions within units.
