International sports competitions were held in Ashgabat as part of the celebration of the 28th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the UAE

The international sports competition “UAE-Turkmenistan Tactical Games”, organized by the UAE Embassy in Ashgabat on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, took place in the Olympic village of Ashgabat.

As noted in the press release of the UAE Embassy, the holding of this sports competition was agreed upon with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and in collaboration with the State Committee of Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan, the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, fitness clubs Desert Storm gym and Lotus gym.

The competition was attended by 40 teams from Turkmenistan and 3 guest teams from the UAE, namely Al Wathba, Desert Storm and a team from the Dubai General Department of Residents and Foreigners Affairs.

Athletes competed in exercises designed to test functional fitness, strength, endurance and coordination.

According to the organizers, the purpose of the event was to strengthen friendly ties between countries through sports and a healthy lifestyle. The winners received memorable prizes and awards.
