Five new sports will be included in the 2028 Olympics program

The 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles will feature five new sports: baseball, cricket, squash (a form of indoor tennis), lacrosse (a ball-and-stick game similar to field hockey) and flag football (a version of American tennis), reported RIA Novosti.

Together with the new types, the number of Olympic sports will be 35.

The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris also included new sports that were not previously considered Olympic - breakdancing, surfing, rock climbing and skateboarding.
