On October 11, Turkmenistan delivered humanitarian cargo consisting of medicines and medical supplies, as well as food and textile products to earthquake-stricken Afghanistan, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
The cargo is intended for victims of the natural disaster that occurred on October 7 in the Afghan province of Herat.
Humanitarian assistance was sent in accordance with the Order of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and with the assistance of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care.
Turkmenistan’s assistance to the people of the fraternal country has become another expression of deep respect and evidence of the high principles of humanism, the Foreign Ministry comments.
