The delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Hakan Fidan, who arrived in Turkmenistan, met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov.
According to the Anadolu news agency, today Hakan Fidan was received by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Also, Hakan Fidan, recalling the trilateral summit of the heads of state of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan, held in December 2022, said:
– Our bilateral relations are truly strong and reliable. We are trying to develop them further, improve the relevant legal framework and open new areas of cooperation.
Fidan, emphasizing that Turkey and Turkmenistan are two countries with unshakable and strong relations operating under the motto “One Nation, Two States,” added: “I think that cooperation between our two countries will strengthen the Turkmen-Turkish fraternal relations.”
In turn, Rashid Meredov warmly congratulated his Turkish colleague on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Republic.
As a result of negotiations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Turkey, a Cooperation Program for 2024-2025 was signed.
