Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will pay an official visit to Turkmenistan on October 10-11 at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, the press service of the Turkish Foreign Ministry reports.
“During the visit, bilateral relations with friendly and brotherly Turkmenistan, as well as current regional and international events will be discussed,” the statement said.
It should be noted that this will be Hakan Fidan’s first visit to Turkmenistan as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.
He took this position in the new Government formed by President Tayyip Erdogan after winning the elections in June 2023. Previously, Fidan served as head of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) since 2010.
