1. Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proposed cooperation in the energy sector to German business. He made this proposal at a meeting of the heads of delegations of Central Asian countries and the German Eastern Economic Committee in Berlin. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that Turkmenistan is interested in the construction and modernization of power plants, the development of a network of power transmission lines and other energy projects. He also noted that the country pays great attention to the development of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind energy. Chairman Halk Maslahaty expressed confidence that the knowledge and best practices of German companies will be in demand in Turkmenistan.

2. The State Memorial Museum of the Defense and Siege of Leningrad hosted a cultural and educational event “Turkmens in the Defense of Leningrad”, dedicated to the memory of Turkmen soldiers who died in the Great Patriotic War. During the event, reports were presented on the heroic exploits of Turkmen soldiers who participated in the defense of Leningrad and other fronts of the Great Patriotic War. Also presented were propaganda posters from the war, stored in the collections of the Russian National Library, and the book by Pavel and Galina Baryshnikov “In the Shadow of a Flying Bird”, dedicated to Leningrad children evacuated to the Turkmen SSR.

3. Today, on the stage of the National Music and Drama Theater named after Magtymguly, the premiere of the comedy “Haltada Husyt” based on the play of the classic French dramaturgy Jean-Baptiste Moliere “The Tricks of Scapin” will be held. The performance, staged by Merdan Handurdyev, promises to be spectacular and colorful. The play “The Tricks of Scapin” was written by Moliere in 1670. It was first staged on May 24, 1671 at the “Palais Royal” theater in Paris.

4. On November 4, the Russian Academy of Arts will open the exhibition “On the Shore of the Gray Caspian Sea” by artist Darius Asadullayev. A series of graphic works, inspired by the work of the Turkmen composer Nury Halmamedov “Kechpelek”, is based on memories of childhood spent in Cheleken. The exhibition is organized within the framework of the VII Moscow International Arts Festival “Sounds of Dutar”. Artist and designer Darius Asadullayev was born in 1979 in Turkmenistan, in the Caspian town of Cheleken. In 1999, he graduated from the Ashgabat Art School, course of Valery Kurbanov, specializing in graphic design. His works are kept in private collections in Russia, Great Britain, India, Israel, Italy and the USA.

5. A festive event dedicated to the Independence Day of Turkmenistan was held at the Kazan National Research Technical University. The Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan, Guych Garayev, took part in the celebration. A festive event was held in the university assembly hall, at which university students performed cultural performances. An award ceremony was also held to award Turkmen students who have achieved significant success in studies, sports and other activities. It was noted that currently about 1200 Turkmen students are studying at the university.

6. The head of the editorial office of TASS near abroad countries, Georgy Kazachkov, announced plans to develop cooperation with Turkmenistan. He took part in an international media forum in Ashgabat dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the country's independence. Kazachkov noted that he was glad to be invited to the forum and spent three days in Turkmenistan, attending a number of events, including a military parade. He highly appreciated the organization of the forum and the warm welcome from the Turkmen authorities. TASS reopened its representative office in Turkmenistan a little over a year ago. Kazachkov noted that the agency covers events in the country in various fields, including politics, economics, culture and sports. He expressed hope that cooperation between TASS and Turkmen media will continue to develop.

7. In the UK, the famous tree known as the “Robin Hood tree” was cut down in the Northumberland National Park. The tree gained worldwide fame after it “starred” in the adventure film “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.” According to legend, the tree in which the world-famous legendary robber was hiding was located in Sherwood Forest and it was an oak tree, but a plane tree growing in the north of England was used for filming. In 2016 it received the title of “Tree of the Year”. Northumberland County Police suspect a 16 years old teenager of cutting down the famous tree for hooligan reasons.

8. In 2024, China intends to launch the “Chang'e-6” probe to the far side of the Moon to collect soil. This is the first such project in the history of the exploration of the Earth's natural satellite. The area in the South Pole-Aitken basin was chosen as a preliminary landing site. The collection of soil from the far side of the Moon will be carried out for the first time - all other samples were taken from the visible part.

9. Several streets in the largest US metropolis were flooded due to heavy rain. State Governor Kathy Hochul declared a state of emergency. Forecasters reported that New York city received its highest rainfall in 140 years. Several lines of the New York subway were forced to suspend service, and problems also arose at LaGuardia Airport.

10. Boxer from Turkmenistan Bayramdurdy Nurmuhammedov reached the quarter finals at the Summer Asian Games in Hangzhou. In the first fight, a 21 years old student of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports, competing in the weight category up to 71 kg, defeated Davud Mahkamov from Tajikistan with a score of 5:0. In the second fight, he defeated the representative of Palestine. In the quarterfinals, Nurmuhammedov will meet with a boxer from Mongolia, who previously won two victories in two fights.

11. In the postponed match of the 17th round of the Turkmenistan football championship, “Nebitchi” defeated Ashgabat “Kopetdag” with a score of 2:1. The match was held in Balkanabat at the “Sport toplumy” stadium. Azizbek Begjanov opened the scoring in the 3rd minute. On the 51st, Magtymberdy Berenov restored his balance. At the end of the match, the victory for “Nebitchi” was brought by a goal from Dovran Berdyev. After this victory, the Balkanabat club gains 28 points and ranks third in the Major League standings. “Kopetdag” remains in fifth place with 17 points scored.
