An exhibition “On the shore of the gray Caspian Sea” dedicated to the Turkmen Cheleken will open in Moscow

On November 4, the Russian Academy of Arts will open the exhibition “On the Shore of the Gray Caspian Sea” by artist Darius Asadullayev. A series of graphic works, inspired by the work of the Turkmen composer Nury Halmamedov “Kechpelek”, is based on memories of childhood spent in Cheleken.

The exhibition is organized within the framework of the VII Moscow International Arts Festival “Sounds of Dutar”.

Artist and designer Darius Asadullayev was born in 1979 in Turkmenistan, in the Caspian town of Cheleken. In 1999, he graduated from the Ashgabat Art School, course of Valery Kurbanov, specializing in graphic design.

In 2008, he completed an internship at the British design school Skipton School of Art and Media. He is also an artist-architect of the Belgorod diocese, a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia. Since 2006, he has repeatedly organized personal exhibitions in Turkmenistan, Russia, and England.

His works are kept in private collections in Russia, Great Britain, India, Israel, Italy and the USA, according to a press release from the Sounds of Dutar Festival.
