The first owner of the new iPhone 15 was a representative of the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community of New York, writes “Argumenty i Fakty”. As is tradition, the purchaser was personally presented with an iPhone by Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Ultra-Orthodox Jews are known for their adherence to ancient Jewish religious customs and rules. It is often said about the ultra-Orthodox that they deliberately refuse many of the technical benefits of modernity, so it is believed that they fundamentally do not use smartphones and the Internet, preferring push-button phones and studying the Torah instead of surfing the Internet.

On Saturdays (Shabbat), religious Jews are completely prohibited from using any gadgets, including push-button phones.

The first Orthodox Jew, the owner of the iPhone 15, denied the assertion that his fellow believers are categorically against gadgets.
