Turkmenistan
1. National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was awarded the Badge of Honor of the Heads of State of Central Asia. The National Leader of the Turkmen people, addressing the leaders of friendly countries, expressed sincere gratitude for presenting him with this high award. As Chairman Halk Maslahaty noted, he regards this honorary award as a symbol of deep respect for the Turkmen people, recognition of Turkmenistan’s contribution to strengthening good-neighborly, fraternal relations between the states of Central Asia.
2. The Presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, following the results of the fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia held in Dushanbe, adopted a Joint Statement, which confirms the readiness of the parties for further full-format cooperation. In addition, within the framework of the summit, the Agreement on strengthening the interconnectedness of land transport in Central Asia, the Dushanbe communique of the first meeting of the ministers of transport of the Central Asian states, the Agreement between the Central Asian states on general directions of youth policy were signed, and the Regulations on the Council of National Coordinators for Consultative Meetings were adopted heads of state of Central Asia.
3. Today the “Soyuz-2.1a” launch vehicle with the Soyuz “MS-24” manned spacecraft is sent to the ISS. On board are Hero of Turkmenistan, test cosmonaut instructor, commander of the “Roscosmos” cosmonaut corps Oleg Kononenko, cosmonaut Nikolai Chub, NASA astronaut Laurel O’Hara. On this occasion, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed sincere gratitude to Oleg Kononenko and all the people who connected their lives with astronautics for the selfless work on which the development of all mankind depends.
4. On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, an expanded second edition of the IV volume of the book “Memory” was published in Turkmenistan. This historical and documentary work is dedicated to the Turkmen soldiers who died in battles against fascism in 1941-1945, as well as those who went missing. The publication opens with a congratulatory Address from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of this significant date. In his address, the head of state noted that Turkmen soldiers, shoulder to shoulder with representatives of fraternal peoples, showed unparalleled valor, perseverance and true heroism on the battlefields.
5. The Turkmen shipyard “Balkan” and the Korean company KSIT (Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology Co., Ltd.) signed a contract for the construction of two dry cargo ships with a carrying capacity of 6100 tons. This project is being implemented within the framework of the resolution of the President of Turkmenistan on the further development of the country’s national merchant fleet. Within the framework of the contract, Korean specialists will train Turkmen colleagues in shipbuilding technologies. Also, a modern quality management system will be introduced at the “Balkan” plant. The design work will be carried out taking into account high safety and environmental standards.
6. The meeting expected by Ashgabat residents with the staff of the oldest theater in Russia - the State Academic Maly Theater is postponed. According to the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, the tour will not be due to technical reasons. Let us remind that the tour was planned from September 18 to 22 on the stage of the Main Academic Drama Theater named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashy. It was planned to show two productions to the Turkmen public - the plays “The Cherry Orchard” and “Marriage”.

7. President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon proposed creating an Association of Media of the States of Central Asia. Speaking at the Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, Rahmon noted: “In recent years, interest in Central Asia from the media has sharply increased. The media space is filled with a variety of, sometimes contradictory and distorted information about the state of affairs in the region. It is necessary to take measures to create an information atmosphere of genuine friendship and cooperation in the region, based on real facts and not speculation”.
8. The mummified bodies of two “aliens” allegedly found in a mine in the ancient city of Cusco in Peru were presented at the Mexican Congress. The head of the research group that presented the remains of the “aliens” said that during their lifetime they did not belong to the human population, and only 30% of their DNA was deciphered. Previously, the bodies were examined at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, where they reported that the remains were approximately a thousand years old. The bodies of the “aliens” had three-fingered hands, elongated skulls and necks, they had no teeth, and the bones were light, like those of birds.

9. The Turkmenistan tennis championship continues in Ashgabat. The competitions take place on the tennis courts at the “Ashgabat” multifunctional stadium. The best tennis players in the country in different age categories participate in the tournament. In the over 18 category among men, in the semi-finals Yuri Rogussky will meet with Hajimurat Charyev, and Meylis Orazmuhammedov will fight with Altymurat Kurbanov. Among the women, Ilima Huseinova and Sabrina Rahmanova will meet in the final, and Rozhan Karajayeva and Aisha Bikbulatova will compete for bronze.
10. In friendly matches against Indonesia (0:2) and Bahrain (1:1), head coach of the Turkmenistan national team Mergen Orazov gave young players a chance to prove themselves and tested the team’s immediate reserves. In the match with Indonesia, two “Ahal” football players made their debut - midfielder Alibek Abdyrahmanov and striker Yazgylych Gurbanov. Both players came on as substitutes in the second half. In the game against Bahrain, the defender of the Belarusian “Energetik-BGU” Vepa Jumayev appeared on the field from the first minutes. For him, this match also became his debut in the Turkmenistan national team.
11. At the international swimming tournament that started in the capital of Tajikistan, swimmers of Turkmenistan won four medals. In the women's 4x100 freestyle relay, Valeria Mirenskaya and Ogulmerjen Nurayeva, as part of a joint international team, won a silver medal. Together with them, two swimmers from Kazakhstan and Tajikistan climbed to the podium. Valeria Mirenskaya also won a bronze medal in the 50-meter butterfly, and Ogulmerjen Nurayeva won a bronze medal in the 50-meter breaststroke. Kurban Hommadov won another bronze medal in the 200-meter breaststroke.
