European archaeologists will resume excavations of ancient Margush in Turkmenistan, the anniversary of the independence of Uzbekistan was celebrated in Ashgabat, an anniversary exhibition of works by Gulnaz Rozykulova opened and other news



1. The International Association for Mediterranean and Oriental Studies (ISMEO) will resume the activities of the “Togolok-1” archaeological project in Turkmenistan. European archaeologists will carry out work on the territory of ancient Margush, which is one of the centers of world civilization.

2. A gala reception was held in the capital of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the independence of Uzbekistan. The event was held at the “Yyldyz” hotel and was attended by representatives of the government, political and business circles of Turkmenistan, creative intelligentsia, members of the Uzbek community, heads and employees of the diplomatic corps and international organizations, representatives of local and foreign media. Within the framework of the event, an exhibition of folk applied art and the tourism potential of Uzbekistan was launched.

In Ashgabat, at the Exhibition Center of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the artist Gulnaz Rozykulova, a personal exhibition of her works was opened. The exhibition includes more than 100 works. The main part of the artist’s paintings is devoted to landscapes. Another genre section of the exhibition is still lifes. The artist’s work also includes impressions from trips to architectural and historical monuments of the Middle Ages.

In the Ethnocultural Association “Turkmen Social and Cultural Center” of the city of Almaty, with the organization of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan, a solemn ceremony was organized to present the certificate of the honorary title “Honored Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan” to the director of the Ahal-Teke horse breeding farm Ahal-Teke of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the International Association of Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding, Dik Yakov Yakovlevich. This honorary title was awarded to the Kazakh horse breeder by a special Decree of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

A delegation led by Nikolai Mladenov, Director General of the UAE Diplomatic Academy named after Anwar Gargash, visited the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. 7. “Air Astana” began operating regular flights from Almaty to Tel Aviv. Flights will be operated twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, on Airbus A321 aircraft. The opening of direct flights between Kazakhstan and Israel is an important event for both countries. 9. The Turkmenistan national football team will play a friendly match with the Indonesian team in preparation for qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. The game will be today in the city of Surabaya. At a press conference before the match, the team’s midfielder Ruslan Mingazov noted that Indonesia is a strong opponent, and the match with them will be a good test for Turkmen football players. “It is very important for us to improve, and I hope that the game against Indonesia will help us in this”, - Ruslan said.
