Mail.ru has added a new xmail.ru domain, to which you can transfer your Gmail account along with your name and letters, reports vc.ru, citing VK.
Users of the foreign mail service Gmail can register a mailbox on xmail.ru. To do this, you need to go to a special page, click the "Start" button, select a Google account and give "Mail.ru Mail" access to data - name, email address, language settings and profile photo.
If you use the usual way to create mail on Mail.ru, then you will not be able to select a new domain. Only mail.ru, bk.ru, inbox.ru, list.ru and internet.ru will be available in the list.
When switching to xmail.ru, you can save the mailbox name, but it must comply with the rules of Mail.ru Mail. The login cannot contain less than five characters and more than 31, begin and end with a dot, underscore or hyphen, and also resemble "service" addresses with words like admin, support and corp.
After registration, the user will be able to transfer the archive of letters and attachments to the new domain and will be able to write on behalf of the old foreign mailbox.
The new domain is designed to simplify the transition of Gmail users to Mail.ru Mail. This will allow users to save their data and continue to use mail with a familiar interface.
