At the Ashgabat International Airport, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who arrived in the Turkmen capital today to participate in a trilateral summit meeting, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
Having warmly greeted the distinguished guest on the ancient and hospitable Turkmen land, the head of the highest representative body of people's power thanked President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for accepting the invitation to visit fraternal Turkmenistan and expressed confidence that the upcoming high-level talks during this visit would provide an excellent opportunity to exchange views on the prospects development of a trilateral dialogue - Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, expansion of their interaction in political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and potential for further development of Turkmen-Tajik relations, taking into account the priorities of the socio-economic development of the two states.
