The Technology Center of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan hosted a Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the prospects of the digital ecosystem of the city of Arkadag, where the concept of a "smart" city is embodied.

The event was attended by scientists of the Technocenter, the chairman of the committee of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the city of Arkadag, representatives of the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, the Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications, the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, the website "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" reports.

The meeting participants considered various aspects of the digitalization of the city, including the use of new technologies in areas such as urban infrastructure management, education, healthcare, transport, energy to improve the quality of life of citizens and ensure environmental sustainability.

The new city, located in the picturesque foothills of the Kopetdag, is an example of a "smart" city, in whose life digital, information and communication and "green" technologies are integrated.

One of the projects that has already been implemented in the city is an air quality monitoring system that allows citizens to receive information about the state of the air in real time.

This system was developed as part of the Arkadag Smart City project and includes sensors installed throughout the city that can measure the level of air pollution and transmit the data to a central server.

The conference also covered issues of city security, including the use of video surveillance systems and emergency warning systems.

At the meeting, it was emphasized that the accession of the city of Arkadag to the project "Development of sustainable, green, climate-friendly cities with innovative solutions in the region of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe", as well as the receipt of the corresponding certificate, became clear evidence that the work carried out in this direction is receiving recognition at the international level.
