The President of Turkmenistan arrived on a working visit to Jeddah, preparations are underway for a military parade in Ashgabat, the Council of Elders of the Halk Maslahaty has been created and other news



1. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov will take part in the summit of the heads of states of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) and the countries of Central Asia, which will be held today in Jeddah. Topical issues of interstate cooperation were put on the agenda of the summit.

2. Preparations for the military parade on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, which will be celebrated on September 27, 2023, are going according to plan. Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense Begench Gundogdyev reported this to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country.

The relevant Resolution was adopted at a meeting of the Presidium of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. The document approved the Regulations on the Council of Elders of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and its composition.

The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan has begun accepting documents from applicants wishing to enroll in a master's program in four areas of training: political science and regional studies, jurisprudence, economics and management, mass media and information and library science. Documents will be accepted from July 17 to 30, 2023 in Ashgabat and velayat centers. Entrance exams and enrollment will be held on August 8-9, 2023 at the institute. Training will be carried out on a paid basis in the Turkmen language.

In January-June of this year, 90 housing infrastructure facilities were commissioned in Ashgabat, designed for 707 families, including nine-, four- and two-story houses in different parts of the city. The city administration also carried out work on landscaping, landscaping and maintaining cleanliness and order in the capital, ensured the smooth functioning of social infrastructure.

According to the official website of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan, the return semi-finals of the Cup of Turkmenistan will be played on October 20, 2023. Defender Bahtiyar Gurgenov, known to Turkmen football fans for his performances for Ashgabat's “Kopetdag” and “Altyn asyr”, joined the squad of “Kyzylkum” from Navoi, playing in the Super League of Uzbekistan.
