China's Cyberspace Administration and other regulators have been the first in the world to develop a set of rules and laws according to which generative artificial intelligence will have to work, the "Kommersant" newspaper reported with reference to Chinese sources of information.
From August 15, the law will restrict the generative activities of AI, which may be contrary to the policy and ideology of the PRC. These restrictions will only apply to AI available to ordinary users, and not to the development of research institutes.
Generative AI will now have to obtain a license to run, and if objectionable content is found, its developers will have to rewrite its algorithms.
