These days, 10 cardiosurgical, orthopedic, neurosurgical operations have been performed in Turkmenistan for children with congenital heart disease, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, and congenital diseases of the central nervous system. This was reported in the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".
So, in the International Cardiology Center of the Directorate of the WMC, operations were performed on children with congenital heart disease under conditions of cardiopulmonary bypass:
- 2-year-old resident of the city of Ashgabat Hangeldy Allanazarov,
- 13-year-old resident of Boldumsaz etrap, Dashoguz velayat, Merdan Kutlymyradov,
- 6-year-old resident of the city of Dashoguz, Dashoguz velayat, Nuraly Gurbanov,
- Melek Meredova, 9-year-old resident of Gyzylarbat etrap, Balkan velayat,
- Shir Atajanov, a 13-year-old resident of the Kunyaurgench etrap of the Dashoguz velayat.
Also, at the International Center for Cardiology, 11-year-old Yhlas Byashimov, a resident of the Vekilbazar etrap of the Mary velayat, with a congenital heart disease, underwent a successful endovascular cardiac surgery.
At the Scientific and Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health:
- Atajan Shohradov, aged 5.5 years, a resident of the Lebap velayat, underwent an orthopedic operation using the Pemberton method,
- Aysha Akmyradova, a 4-year-old resident of the city of Ashgabat, with a disease of the musculoskeletal system, successfully underwent achilloplasty,
- 14-year-old Ogultuvak Kakaliyeva, a resident of the Murghab etrap, Mary velayat, diagnosed with bilateral habitual dislocation of the knee joints, successfully underwent joint arthroplasty.
- 3-month-old Aymelek Maksadova, a resident of the city of Gazojak, Lebap velayat, underwent a neurosurgical operation with a congenital disease of the central nervous system.
The condition of all children after surgical treatment is satisfactory, they are under the supervision of family doctors at the place of residence and are undergoing a planned phased rehabilitation.
All children who underwent surgical treatment in the best clinics of the country are under the patronage of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.
Thanks to the work carried out by the Foundation, all the children's departments of the country's etrap hospitals received ambulances as a gift. New helicopters were also purchased, designed to provide emergency medical assistance. The Mary Velayat Children's Hospital was presented with a Savina ventilator.
To date, more than 140 medical operations of varying complexity have been carried out at the expense of the Fund's financial resources, more than 50 children have undergone medical examinations and various medical supplies have been purchased for them.
Earlier, we reported that the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation supported surgeries for 13 more children.
