British startup Nyobolt has developed an electric Nyobolt EV sports car that can charge in just six minutes - a time comparable to the time it takes to refuel a conventional car with an internal combustion engine, writes the “Autoreview” website.
The creators of the sports car, however, do not reveal the exact secret of ultra-fast charging of the battery of a sports electric car. It is only known that they are created on a lithium-ion basis with niobium oxide anodes, which permits such a significant increase in the charging speed. The authors of the technology report that mass production of such batteries will be available in 2024.
The Nyobolt EV sports car is based on the Lotus Elise roadster. The car is capable of driving up to 250 kilometers on a single charge.
