President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent heartfelt congratulations to Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the independence of the State of Israel, Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports today.

Stressing that relations between Turkmenistan and the State of Israel are based on the principles of equality, mutual respect and trust, the head of state noted with satisfaction the effective nature of the current cooperation, which is systematically enriched with new content, and expressed confidence that bilateral relations will continue to develop actively thanks to joint efforts. .

“At present, our countries are constructively cooperating in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. We express interest in the further expansion of Turkmen-Israeli relations and firmly believe in the prospects for their expansion through the use of existing opportunities,” the President of Turkmenistan emphasized.

Taking this opportunity, the head of Turkmenistan expressed his sincere wishes to President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for good health, happiness and prosperity, and peace, further progress and prosperity to all the friendly people of the State of Israel.

Israel's Independence Day is the country's main public holiday. It is celebrated annually on the Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday closest to 5 Iyar, commemorating the declaration of the State of Israel on 14 May 1948 (5 Iyar 5708 in the Hebrew calendar).

This year, Israel's Independence Day, or Yom Atzmaut as it's known here, falls on May 5th. More precisely, the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Israel's independence will begin on April 25 in the evening, and on the 26th, according to ancient Israeli tradition, a mass departure of Israelis to nature will take place.

The Israel Independence Day 2023 (Yom Atzmaut) starts traditionally with a solemn ceremony on Mount Herzl at 20:00 on April 25th. At the ceremony, the current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will light a torch, as is done on round dates once every ten years. The opening will end with the simultaneous performance of the song "Hallelujah" from hundreds of stages of the country, after which the organizers promise the most grandiose salute since the formation of Israel.

In addition, Jerusalem will celebrate Israel's Independence Day 2023 with numerous musical performances and happenings throughout the city. And Tel Aviv will celebrate the holiday on the evening of April 25 with a concert on Rabin Square under the motto “Give a Jewish song!”.
